A Brief Overview of Our Worship Services

Visiting a new church can be intimidating. However, our congregation would like to make you feel comfortable and right at home. Our sole-purpose is to worship and praise God. When you visit our congregation, you no doubt notice that our building is a modest place of worship. You will not find an elaborate architecture or costly furnishings decorating its walls.
“God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.” Acts 17:24-25 NKJV
We hope that you will find it to be a place dedicated to the worship and praise of All-Mighty God. Furthermore, it is our prayer that you will find our worship to be elegant in its simplicity. Our goal is to direct our worship toward God rather than toward ourselves. To that end, we strive to worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24), as he so directs. A typical service is along the following lines. Our song service is congregational and "a cappella" as we make melody together in our hearts and with our voices to the Lord. There will be a few prayers offered, some of thanksgiving and others of requests for blessing. The sermon will typically be delivered by one of the brethren of the congregation. At the close of the sermon, an invitation will be extended to all those who desire to obey the gospel of Jesus Christ. Please do not feel uncomfortable or pressured during this invitation. If, perhaps, you would like to come forward, we will be happy to assist you.
Should you visit our congregation on Sunday morning, our services will have two more items in our worship, communion and our collection. We observe the Lord’s Supper every Sunday morning. The communion service is just as we understand what Jesus did the night that He was betrayed. During this time, the brother that waits at the table will pass a loaf of unleavened bread and a cup of grape juice, each in turn, until each member of the congregation has partaken. If you choose not to participate, please do not feel embarrassed or pressured, but feel free to simply pass the plate and cup to the person next to you. The same is true of the collection. This collection is only taken on Sunday mornings. As our guest, you are not expected to participate, but you may if you so desire.
That’s it, simple, yet elegant, but most of all scriptural. We invite you to visit our congregation at any time. Please come as you are. We look forward to seeing you.
