The Hartford Highway Church of Christ Website (the website) is comprised of various web pages primarily designed to be a source of advertisement and evangelism for the Hartford Highway Church of Christ. However, there is a secondary design to allow members to engage in social activities on the website.

A couple of rules must be agreed to and followed on the website. Failure to follow these simple rules may result in having your user account locked, thereby preventing access to the Member’s Area. These rules are not cumbersome for they are taken from God’s Word.

Rule 1. Treat others the way that you would like to be treated.

"And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise." Luke 6:31 NKJV

It is regrettable, but from time to time even Christians get crossways with each other. Paul and Barnabas found themselves at odds with each other over John Mark (Acts 15:36-41). However, we must continue to treat one another in a way befitting Christians. Therefore, be very careful not to publish, post, upload, distribute or disseminate any personal problems, disputes or any such thing that you may have with other members of the Lord’s Church, this includes local members as well as members of other congregations.

Our purpose is to bear one another’s burdens and fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2). So let us use the member’s area for fun, encouragement, compassion, and bible study together.

Rule 2. Be careful to watch your language. Always, proofread your posts before posting them.

"Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so." James 3:10-11 NKJV

This really should go without saying. However, please be very mindful of the words and expressions that you use on the website. Sometimes, honest mistakes can happen just from simple typing errors, like typing "hello" and forgetting to put an "o" on it. These can be easily corrected. If you accidentally post something of this sort and you are unable to correct it yourself, please let the webmaster know and it will be corrected as soon as possible.

One more thought on our language. Sometimes, we can be very subtle with our words, choosing them careful as to injure our target. Please refer back to Rule 1 before posting any such material.

Pretty simple really. Just be a Christian and all the rules get followed.
